Railway-related stocks witnessed strong buying interest in morning trade on March 6, with several counters on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) posting notable gains during the session. Shares of companies linked to the railway infrastructure and rolling stock segment, including Ircon International, Jupiter Wagons, Titagarh Rail Systems, RVNL and IRFC moved higher in Friday deals.
IRCON Share Price Today
Ircon International Ltd shares surged sharply on the NSE. At 10:39 am, the stock was trading at Rs 148.52, up Rs 14.86 or 11.12% for the day. The stock opened at Rs 133.00, touched an intraday high of Rs 149.35, and a low of Rs 132.13. Its 52-week high stands at Rs 225.52, while the 52-week low is Rs 130.00.

RVNL Share Price Today
Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd (RVNL) also remained in the green. At 10:48 am, the stock was trading at Rs 292.60 on NSE, registering a gain of Rs 13.35 or 4.78%. The share opened at Rs 279.25, hit an intraday high of Rs 298.40, and slipped to a low of Rs 278.75.
Shares of IRCON International and RVNL rallied sharply on Friday after reports of a potential merger between the two railway public sector undertakings boosted investor sentiment.
According to an online report by PSU Connect, the Ministry of Railways is considering a proposal to merge IRCON International with Rail Vikas Nigam Limited.
Jupiter Wagons Share Price Today
Jupiter Wagons Ltd also posted strong gains during the session. At 10:44 am, the share price stood at Rs 287.70, rising Rs 32.90 or 12.91% on the day. The stock opened at Rs 254.80, climbed to an intraday high of Rs 289.70, and slipped to a low of Rs 251.30 during the session. The company's 52-week high is Rs 457.00, while the 52-week low is Rs 247.05.
Titagarh Share Price Today
Meanwhile, Titagarh Rail Systems Ltd traded higher in morning deals on NSE. At 10:47 am, the stock was quoted at Rs 687.20, up Rs 29.20 or 4.44%. It opened the day at Rs 657.95, touched a high of Rs 694.40, and recorded a low of Rs 653.10 during intraday trading.
IRFC Share Price Today
Similarly, Indian Railway Finance Corporation Ltd (IRFC) saw modest gains during the session. At 10:48 am, the stock was priced at Rs 101.55, up Rs 2.70 or 2.73%. It opened at Rs 99.31, moved to a high of Rs 103.10, and touched a low of Rs 98.76 in intraday trade.
The recent movement in IRFC's share price comes after the Government of India announced an Offer for Sale (OFS) through the Ministry of Railways to reduce its stake in the company.
As per an exchange filing dated February 24, 2026, the government proposed to sell 26,13,70,120 equity shares, representing 2% of IRFC's paid-up equity capital, with an option to sell an additional 2% stake in case of oversubscription.
The OFS opened on February 25 for non-retail investors and February 26 for retail investors and eligible employees. Such stake sales typically increase share supply in the market, which can influence short-term trading activity.
