Rishab Shetty's Kantara: Chapter 1 is on the verge of achieving a major milestone at the global box office, as it inches closer to the Rs 300-crore mark. The film, which had its worldwide theatrical release on October 2, has been performing exceptionally well and is now among the highest-grossing Kannada films of all time.

Kantara: A Legend Chapter-1 continues its impressive run at the box office, raking in an estimated Rs 224.78 crore in net collections across India over its first five days. as per Sacnilk data. On Day 5 (Monday), Kantara: Chapter 1 saw a sharp drop, earning approximately Rs 1.03 crore across all languages.

The slowdown is typical of weekday trends and the figures are based on live data, subject to updates until 10 PM on Sacnilk. Despite the dip, the film's five-day total remains highly impressive, firmly establishing it as one of the top-performing Kannada films at the national box office.

As per data available on Sacnilk, the film made a thunderous debut, grossing Rs 88 crore worldwide on its opening day. In the first four days alone, the film garnered approximately Rs 223.75 crore.

Talking about domestic earnings On Day 1 (Thursday), it collected Rs 61.85 crore, with the Kannada version contributing Rs 19.6 crore, followed by Rs 18.5 crore in Hindi, Rs 13 crore in Telugu, Rs 5.5 crore in Tamil and Rs 5.25 crore in Malayalam as per Sacnilk.
Day 2 (Friday) saw a drop of 26.60%, bringing in Rs 45.4 crore. The collections rebounded on Day 3 (Saturday) with Rs 55 crore, marking a 21.15% increase. These figures especially over the weekend, highlight the film's strong hold across regions.
On Day 4 (Sunday), the film earned around Rs 61.5 crore, showing an 11.82% rise compared to the previous day. This significant single-day collection of Day 4 not only marked one of the film's highest daily earnings but also played a crucial role in pushing its total domestic nett collection.
With this, the film's global gross is expected to cross Rs 296 crore soon, bringing it close to the Rs 300-crore benchmark.
Third Highest Grossing Kanada Film; Kantara: Chapter 1 Surpasses Yash's KGF: Chapter 1
With these impressive figures, Kantara: Chapter 1 has officially surpassed Yash's KGF: Chapter 1, becoming the third highest-grossing Kannada film to date. It now ranks behind only two other blockbusters: Rishab Shetty's original Kantara (Rs 408 crore) and KGF: Chapter 2 (Rs 1,215 crore).
The film is written and directed by Rishab Shetty, who also reprises his role in the lead. It features Rukmini Vasanth, Jayaram, and Gulshan Devaiah in key roles. A special premiere was held on October 1, followed by its global release on October 2.
