According to a report by Filmibeat, the Hindi-dubbed version of Kantara Chapter 1 is now set to make its digital debut on Amazon Prime Video on November 27, 2025. The streaming platform has reportedly acquired the digital rights for a substantial price. Earlier, the Kannada version of Kantara Chapter 1 premiered on Prime Video on October 31, available in Kannada, Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam languages.

Following the pattern of South Indian film releases on OTT platforms, typically after a four-week theatrical run, the Hindi-dubbed version is now reportedly scheduled to premiere digitally on November 27.

Set during the Kadamba dynasty era of Banavasi in pre-colonial Karnataka, Kantara Chapter 1 explores the tension between forest tribes and an oppressive ruler, weaving mythology, folklore, and spirituality into a visually spectacular narrative.

Hombale Films, the banner behind major hits like KGF and Salaar, has produced Kantara Chapter 1 under the supervision of Vijay Kiragandur. The film features cinematography by Arvind S. Kashyap, whose lens beautifully captures the mystical landscapes of Karnataka. The soulful and intense background score has been composed by B. Ajaneesh Loknath, who also worked on the original Kantara soundtrack.
