The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has officially announced the Karnataka NEET PG counselling 2025 round 2 schedule, confirming that the second round of seat allotment will cover seats left vacant, cancelled, forfeited or newly added after Round 1. Candidates who accepted seats under Choice 2, those who selected Choice 3, and applicants who submitted options but did not receive any seat in Round 1 are eligible to participate in Round 2 of Karnataka NEET PG 2025 counselling.

Round 2 Option Entry Window Opens on December 12
KEA will allow candidates to modify, delete, or reorder their option entries between December 12 and December 19, 2025. The official notification states that only candidates who deposit their original documents at KEA, Bengaluru, as per the scheduled rank-wise timeline, will be considered for seat allotment in Round 2. Candidates who fail to submit originals will not be eligible even if they have entered options.
KEA has also clarified that Round 2 will fill seats that remained vacant after Round 1 and any seats newly added or surrendered during the ongoing process. The authority advises candidates to regularly check the KEA website for updates on newly added seats .
Karnataka NEET PG Round 2 Allotment Dates
According to KEA's official schedule:
Provisional seat allotment: December 20 (after 4 pm)
Final seat allotment: December 22(after 10 am)
Fee payment & admission order: December 22-26
Last date to report to allotted college: December 28 before 5:30 pm
Who Can Participate in NEET PG Round 2 Counselling?
Eligible candidates include, Choice 2 seat holders from Round 1, Choice 3 candidates and even Candidates who submitted options but did not get a seat in Round 1
KEA emphasises that rearrangement or modification of higher-order options is allowed, but once the Round 2 allotment is completed, candidates must compulsorily join the allotted college as per the rules no withdrawal is permitted in Round 2 .

All candidates must submit the following original documents at the KEA office as per the official PDF
Choice 2 printout & fee-paid receipt OR Choice 3 printout (two copies)
NEET PG 2025 scorecard and admit card (two copies)
PGET 2025 application printout and KEA verification slip (two copies)
All original documents listed on the verification slip (with photocopies)
Annexure-1, Annexure-2 & Annexure-7 (two photocopies each)
KEA confirmed that no candidate will be considered for Round 2 allocation without mandatory document submission.
Virtual Vacancies Explained
KEA also detailed virtual vacancies, meaning if a Choice 2 candidate moves to a higher preference in Round 2, their earlier seat becomes open for the next eligible candidate .
