Bengaluru weather remained cold on Saturday as several parts of Karnataka recorded a sharp dip in minimum temperatures, according to data released by the Karnataka State Natural Disaster Monitoring Centre (KSNDMC), based on IMD weather updates. Dry weather conditions are expected to continue across the state, while cold mornings and scattered fog are likely in many districts over the next few days.

Bengaluru Weather Records Cold Morning, Fog and Mist
As per the past 24 hours of IMD weather data, Bengaluru Urban recorded a maximum temperature of 29.8 degrees Celsius and a minimum temperature of 17.3 degrees Celsius, with misty conditions observed in several areas. No rainfall was recorded in the city.
Meanwhile, Bengaluru Rural witnessed an even colder morning, with the minimum temperature dropping to 16.1 degrees Celsius. Weather conditions in rural pockets experienced fog, mist and haze, reducing visibility during early morning hours.
Chikkaballapura Coldest District in Karnataka
District-wise data released by KSNDMC shows that Chikkaballapura is today the coldest district in Karnataka, recording a minimum temperature of just 8.8 degrees Celsius. Several other districts across south and interior Karnataka also experienced single-digit or near single-digit temperatures, indicating a strong winter chill.

Mandya: 11.7°C
Northern Karnataka districts such as Kalaburagi, Gadag, Haveri, Ballari and Raichur also reported cool night temperatures, while coastal districts like Udupi and Dakshina Kannada remained relatively warmer.
No Rainfall, Dry Weather to Continue Across Karnataka
According to the IMD Karnataka weather forecast, dry weather conditions are likely to persist across the state for the next seven days. There is no rainfall warning for Bengaluru or other districts during this period. The weather department has, however, issued an alert for cold wave-like conditions during early morning hours, especially over south interior Karnataka.

From January 16-20, residents will see mainly clear to partly cloudy skies. Mist or fog likely in some areas in the Morning hours No rainfall forecast has been issued
Residents are advised to remain cautious while commuting early in the morning due to low visibility caused by fog and haze.
