The Election Commission of India has published Kerala's draft electoral rolls following the Special Intensive Revision exercise conducted ahead of the anticipated 2026 Assembly elections. The provisional voter list is now available for public scrutiny, allowing citizens to verify details, request corrections, or seek inclusion of missing names.
Eligible voters who do not find their names on the draft list are advised to promptly contact their respective Booth Level Officer or the local Block Development Office. The Election Commission of India launched the second phase of the Special Intensive Revision in November 2025, a process that has generated considerable public and media attention. This phase covers nine States-Chhattisgarh, Goa, Gujarat, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal as well as three Union Territories: Puducherry, Lakshadweep, and the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
Overall, the revision spans 321 districts and 1,843 Assembly constituencies across these regions.
In Kerala, the house-to-house enumeration component of the revision was completed on December 18, 2025, following field visits by Booth Level Officers. Officials have described the Special Intensive Revision as a crucial preparatory step ahead of Kerala's Assembly elections expected in 2026. The exercise aims to clean and update voter data while ensuring the inclusion of new eligible voters.
By publishing the draft electoral rolls now and setting a clear deadline of January 22, 2026, the Election Commission seeks to provide every eligible citizen in the State with an opportunity to verify their details, request corrections or raise objections.
