To alleviate the financial burden on those in need, the government is set to credit amounts ranging from Rs 500 to Rs 2,000 into Jan Dhan accounts. This initiative encompasses various benefits such as LPG subsidy, PM Kisan Samman Yojana instalments, and more, facilitated through the Direct Bank Transfer (DBT) system.
To avoid the hassle, the Public Management Financial System (PFMS) offers a convenient online platform for checking credit status. By logging onto the official PFMS website at pfms.nic.in/NewDefaultHome.aspx, beneficiaries can easily track the flow of funds into their accounts.

The government has centralized the entire subsidy transfer system through the DBT, employing the PFMS to handle the seamless direct transfer of funds into the beneficiary's bank account. For those without an existing bank account, opening a Jan Dhan Khata becomes imperative to facilitate direct subsidy transfers. This approach eliminates the need for middlemen, safeguarding beneficiaries from potential exploitation.
Step-by-Step Guide to Check Credit Status:
Log in to the Public Management Financial System at pfms.nic.in/NewDefaultHome.aspx.
Click on the 'Know Your Payments' option on the homepage.
Fill in your bank name and submit your bank account number.
Complete the process by submitting the CAPTCHA code.
Click on the 'search' option to begin the process.
The portal will display the complete debit and credit history associated with your account.
Identify the latest transaction details, including the date and amount credited.
By examining the latest entries, beneficiaries can confirm whether the funds have been credited for schemes such as Jan Dhan Khata, LPG subsidy, PM Kisan Samman Yojana, or any other welfare initiative.
With the PFMS portal, understanding the status of Jan Dhan Khata, LPG subsidy transfers, PM Kisan Samman Yojana instalments, and various other subsidies has become easy. This platform enhances transparency and also empowers beneficiaries to independently verify the crediting of funds, eliminating the need for unnecessary intermediaries.
