Larsen & Toubro Arm Wins Significant Orders In Odisha, Madhya Pradesh

Larsen and Toubro (L&T) on November 7 stated that its arm L&T Construction has bagged significant work orders from the governments of Odisha and Madhya Pradesh. However, the company is yet to divulge the order value. But as per its classification, significant orders value in the range of Rs 1,000 crore to Rs 2,500 crore. Last trading price of Larsen and Toubro share on BSE is Rs 2960.20 per share with intraday fall of 0.50%.

Larsen and Toubro has a market capitalisation of Rs 4,16,100.13 crore. Larsen and Toubro shares gave return of 25% in last 6-months, soared 47% in last 1-year, rose 55% in last 2-years, and offered return of 208% in last 3-years.

"Water & effluent treatment business of L&T Construction has secured repeat orders from the Water Resources Department, Government of Odisha to execute cluster XXII & cluster XXV mega lift irrigation projects. The aggregate scope of works includes execution of 19 Lift Irrigation Schemes comprising intake points spread across the Manjore reservoir, Brahmani River, Rengali Left Main canal, Rengali Right Main Canal & lndravati Reservoir to irrigate a culturable command area of 28,944 hectares in the districts of Angul, Dhenkanal & Nabarangpur on a turnkey basis," L&T said in a statement.

The scope additionally includes establishing a distribution network, power system connectivity, and operation and maintenance of the entire commissioned infrastructure for fifteen years, added the company's BSE filing.

The business has also secured an add-on order from the Water Resources Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh to execute Pressurized Piped Lift Irrigation Projects on a turnkey basis to irrigate about 34,942 hectares of culturable command area in the Dewas district of Madhya Pradesh.
