US-Iran Tensions

The advisory for Indian nationals comes as tensions between Iran and US continue to grow. The two nations will hold another round of nuclear talks in Geneva on Thursday. Oman's foreign minister, Badr al-Busaidi has confirmed the meeting. The discussions follow indirect negotiations on the Islamic Republic's nuclear programme that Oman previously hosted.

While diplomats prepare for the US Iran nuclear talks, the Trump administration is increasing military activity. The focus is the Middle East, where extra forces are being moved. Flight tracking data shows a steady flow of aircraft. They are transporting personnel, munitions and equipment towards the region.

The latest Geneva meeting is expected to test whether diplomacy can advance while military deployments grow. With Oman continuing to mediate, both sides face pressure to stabilise talks. Preparations in the Middle East also signal caution from Washington.
