Recently, Domino's and Swiggy's rapid food delivery service, Bolt, announced a strategic partnership, introducing a 10-minute pizza delivery service. This move makes Domino's the first pizza brand in India to promise such an ultra-fast delivery, setting a new benchmark in the industry.

In a statement, Swiggy said, "With this partnership, Domino's menu items will be available on Bolt, providing customers with a wide selection of their favourite pizzas, sides, and beverages ordering, delivered in just 10 minutes."
As consumer demand for faster service rises, Jubilant FoodWorks, the master franchisee of Domino's Pizza in India, has intensified its focus on reducing delivery times. Speeding up operations aligns with the company's broader strategy of enhancing efficiency and meeting evolving customer expectations.
Domino's has earlier partnered with Zomato's new 15-minute food delivery service to offer faster deliveries. Notably, Domino's continues to handle the last-mile delivery on both Swiggy's Bolt and Zomato Quick, ensuring control over service quality and customer experience.
Last year, Jubilant FoodWorks announced an ambitious plan to cut its standard delivery time from 30 minutes to just 20 minutes amid increasing competition and changing consumer habits. This initiative was highlighted in the company's post-earnings conference call on November 11, 2024, where executives emphasized the growing importance of speed in retaining customer loyalty.
Why Quick Food Delivery Services Are In High Demand?
Convenience And Time-Saving - Consumers prefer fast service that fits their busy lifestyles, reducing wait times for meals.
Changing Consumer Expectations - With the rise of quick commerce, people have grown accustomed to instant gratification, expecting food deliveries in minutes rather than hours.
Work-From-Home, Impulsive Lifestyles - Remote work and fast-paced urban living have increased the need for quick meals, especially to satisfy those customers who crave food at odd hours.
Rising Competition Among Food Brands - Restaurants and food aggregators are competing to attract and retain customers by offering faster delivery times.
Advancements In Technology - AI-driven order management, optimized delivery routes, and strategically placed cloud kitchens enable ultra-fast deliveries.
Quick Delivery Service Provided By Other Companies
Due to heavy competition, several food aggregators are ramping up their quick food delivery offerings. Zomato has rolled out its in-app service, Zomato Quick, in multiple cities, promising food deliveries in approximately 15 minutes. The platform currently focuses on fast food and instant meals, including snacks, desserts, and beverages. To support this service, Zomato has deployed a dedicated fleet of delivery partners.
The move comes shortly after Blinkit introduced Blinkit's Bistro, a separate app dedicated to delivering ready-to-eat meals, snacks, and juices in just 10 minutes. The rapid expansion of such services underscores the increasing competition in the quick commerce sector.
Beyond major players like Swiggy, Zomato, and Blinkit, startups are also entering the ultra-fast food delivery space. New challengers such as Zepto, Swish, Zing, and Ola Dash are vying for market share -
• Zepto Café: Operates its own cafés to ensure deliveries within a tight radius.
• Swish: A Bengaluru-based startup specializing in 10-minute food delivery.
• Zing: An NCR-based venture offering similar services.
• Ola Dash: Expanding its presence in the quick commerce ecosystem.
With competition heating up, Domino's latest collaboration with Swiggy's Bolt signals a broader industry shift toward rapid food delivery, where speed is no longer just an advantage but a necessity.
