The Lokmat Global Economic Convention's second edition is set for London on August 18, with Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis attending. At a recent event, the CM unveiled the convention's logo and trophies, as reported by Lokmat Media. This gathering aims to support Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of India becoming the world's third-largest economy.

Fadnavis emphasised that such conventions are crucial for fostering global economic engagement. They help accelerate India's mission to rise among the world's leading economies. He mentioned ongoing efforts to transform Maharashtra into a USD 1 trillion economy by 2030. The convention will gather industry leaders, policymakers, and thinkers to share insights and explore growth opportunities.
Focus on India's Economic Potential
The London convention follows the success of the first edition in Singapore. It will unite stakeholders from various sectors to discuss India's economic potential, investment prospects, and sustainable growth frameworks. The theme, "India: The Emerging Global Guru in Economy - Challenges and Opportunities," highlights India's enduring legacy and promising future.
Vijay Darda, Chairman of Lokmat Media Group's Editorial Board, along with Managing Director Devendra Darda and artist Rachana Darda, invited Fadnavis to the London event. The CM accepted their invitation. The convention will feature discussions on economic transformation and collaboration among influential figures from industry, government, politics, media, philanthropy, and the Indian diaspora.
Awards and Recognition
The event will also include prestigious awards such as the Lokmat Bharat Bhushan Awards, Kohinoor of India Awards, Maharashtra Ratna Awards, and Global Sakhi Women Awards. These awards aim to recognise outstanding contributions in various fields. Such gatherings play a pivotal role in building momentum for India's national mission to enhance its global economic standing.
Fadnavis noted that these conventions attract top industry leaders who share insights and foster international cooperation. This collaboration is essential for realising India's economic aspirations. The event promises to be a significant platform for dialogue on challenges and opportunities in India's economic landscape.
The convention's focus on engaging diverse voices ensures a comprehensive discussion on India's path to economic transformation. By bringing together key stakeholders, it aims to create an environment conducive to achieving India's ambitious economic goals.
