LPG Gas Cylinder: Ration Card Holders To Get LPG Cylinder At Rs 450, Declares Rajasthan CM

In a latest move that will bring smile and relief to families getting ration and wheat in in Rajasthan will now get an LPG cylinder at Rs 450 as per the announcements made by Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma on Monday in the state assembly.

While replying on a debate on "The Rajasthan Appropriation Bill and the Finance Bill 2024-25", Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma said, we have decided to expand scope of those who receive LPG gas cylinders at Rs 450. Previously, Ujjwala Yojana and BPL families were getting LPG cylinders at Rs 450. This scheme will now be extended to families getting ration wheat.

Apart from this, Bhajan Lal Sharma also declared that Rajasthan government will now buy 1000 electric buses instead of 500 as declared in the budget speech previously. Atal Pragati Path will also be constructed in villages with a population of over 10,000, added Bhajan Lal.

The CM also announced salary, allowances, and pension of MLAs and former MLAs will increase every year, automatically and there will be no need to introduce a bill every time to bring an increase.

Bhajan Lal also declared to make Bikaner and Bharatpur UITs as development authorities. He also announced a new plan for the beautification of the Dravyavati river in Jaipur.

The Bhajan Lal government also decided to eliminate pending anomalies in salaries of government employees as per the recommendations of the salary discrepancies review committee, formed by earlier Congress from September 1, said Bhajan Lal.

The CM also declared a 2-year relaxation to regularise contract workers, recruited under the Rajasthan Contractual Hiring Posts Rule, 2022. Meanwhile, elderly citizens aged 70 to 75 will not get 5% surge in their pension allowance and approximately 2.5 lakh youths will be provided internship under the PM's skilling and apprenticeship program. Meanwhile, loan limit for young entrepreneurs under interest subsidy scheme will now be raised to Rs 2 crore.
