LPG Prices From March 1, 2026: Big Shock Before Holi! 19Kg LPG Prices Hiked By Rs 28 To Rs 31; Check Rates

The oil marketing companies (OMCs) have declared a massive hike in LPG prices in India, a shock before the festival of Holi. For the month of March 2026, LPG prices in 19 kg cylinders are increased by Rs 28 to Rs 31 across major metro cities, a big boost to Indian households. However, the prices of 14.2 kg LPG cylinders have remained unchanged.

LPG Prices In Delhi:

In the national capital, rate of 19Kg LPG price is raised by Rs 28 to Rs 1768.5 with effect from March 1, 2026, compared to the previous month's price of Rs 1740.5.

LPG Prices In Kolkata:

This city saw the biggest surge in LPG rate by Rs 31 to Rs 1875.5 per 19Kg cylinder. In the previous month, the price stood at Rs 1,844.5.

LPG Prices In Mumbai:

Mumbai, the financial hub of the country, also witnessed a significant hike in LPG price. From March 1st onward, the 19Kg LPG cylinder will be available at Rs 1720.5, higher by Rs 28.5 from the previous month's price of Rs 1692.

LPG Prices In Chennai:

In Chennai, the 19Kg LPG rate is increased by Rs 29.5 to Rs 1929 per cylinder, compared to February month's rate of Rs 1899.5 per cylinder.

This is the second consecutive month where LPG rates have recorded a significant hike. Last month, 19Kg LPG rates were increased by Rs 48 to Rs 50 across these cities.

However, unlike 19Kg LPG prices, the rates of 14.2Kg LPG have is kept unchanged since April 8, 2025.

LPG Prices In India 14.2Kg Cylinders:

In April last year, the government increased rates by Rs 50 for all 14.2 Kg LPG cylinders including both Ujjwala Yojana beneficiaries that means the subsidised users and non-Ujjwala users i.e. regular consumers. Since then prices have remained unchanged.

Hence, even for March 2026, LPG prices for 14.2Kg cylinders stood at Rs 853 in Delhi, at Rs 879 in Kolkata, at Rs 852.50 in Mumbai and at Rs 868.50 in Chennai.

The LPG prices are decided by Indian oil marketing companies (OMC) such as Indian Oil Corporation, HPCL and BPCL.
