Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav recently addressed investors in Japan, highlighting the state's abundant resources and favourable business environment. During a roadshow for the upcoming Invest Madhya Pradesh Global Investors Summit, Yadav emphasised the strong ties between India and Japan, inviting investors to explore opportunities in the state.

Yadav noted that Madhya Pradesh is rich in natural resources, including water and forests, and boasts excellent connectivity through rail, road, and air. He highlighted major infrastructure projects like the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway and various industrial corridors that enhance the state's appeal for investors.
Investment Opportunities in Madhya Pradesh
The Chief Minister pointed out that Madhya Pradesh hosts over 300 industrial parks with diverse facilities such as textile, spice, IT, solar device, footwear, pharma, garment, and semiconductor parks. "Let me know if anything is left; we are ready to put that in place," Yadav stated.
He also mentioned the state's clear industrial policies and transparent progress as key factors for attracting investment. "When discussions are held around strong fundamental structures then industrial policies should also be clear as well as progress should also be transparently visible," he said.
Incentives for Investors
Yadav outlined various incentives offered by the state government to encourage investment. In the tourism sector, subsidies amount to Rs 40 crore with additional incentives on investments over Rs 100 crore. The readymade garment sector offers a 200 per cent return on investments.
"We are ready to give a return of 200 per cent. This means our intentions are very pure," Yadav assured potential investors. The state has also made strides in healthcare by innovating across medical colleges and establishing hospitals through public-private partnerships.
Strengthening India-Japan Relations
Yadav's visit to Japan is part of a four-day tour aimed at strengthening business affiliations under the Invest in Madhya Pradesh campaign. This initiative began last year and will culminate in the Global Investors Summit scheduled for February 24-25, 2025.
Highlighting similarities between India and Japan, Yadav said these create a conducive environment for business. "There are several similarities between India and Japan for providing convenient business environment," he remarked.
The Chief Minister's efforts reflect Madhya Pradesh's commitment to fostering international partnerships and leveraging its resources for economic growth. His visit underscores the state's readiness to welcome global investors with open arms.
