Dividend Record Date: Maharatna PSU Power Finance Corporation Limited shares will remain focus among investors as the company has fixed dividend record date. PFC shares closed 1.02% lower at Rs 404.6 per share on BSE on Friday, August 9 amid a wider negative sentiment prevailing across the stock market.
PFC had announced a 30% dividend for the financial year 2025-26 for its eligible shareholders and had fixed the dividend record date for August.

PFC Dividend Record Date
The company had announced a dividend record date of Rs 3.7 per share on the face value of Rs 10 per share. The company, earlier had announced that its board of directors had approved "Declaration of interim dividend at Rs 3. 70/ per equity share on the face value of the paid-up equity shares of Rs 10- each for the FY 2025-26."
The board had fixed August 18 as the dividend record date for share holders. A company announces dividend to its shareholders to distribute a part of the profit among them. The dividend record date is fixed by the board to determine eligible shareholders for dividend payout. The amount of dividend to eligible shareholders will be paid on or before 5 September.
PFC Dividend Record Date: How To Become Eligible?
To Become eligible for dividend record date, investors must own the PFC shares on or before the dividend record date, ie August 18. Additionally, the dividend payout will be subjected to tax deducted at source (TDS) according to the company filing.
"lt is to further mention that as per provisions of Income tax Act, I 961, dividend income is taxable in the hands of shareholders and the Company is required to deduct tax at source (TDS) at the time of making payment of dividend, at the rates prescribed in the Income Tax Act, 1961," the company added.
To ensure that the tax should be deducted at lower rates or no tax should be deducted in accordance with income tax act, then the eligible investors are required to submit a scanned copy of PAN, form 15G/151-I and other relevant documents for FY26.
PFC Share Price Trend
PFC shares closed 1.02% lower at Rs 404.6 per share on BSE on Friday. The stock had touched a 52-week high mark of Rs 566.50 per share on BSE on 5 September, 2024. Whereas, the stock had dipped to a 52-week low mark of Rs 357.25 on 17 February, 2025. PFC stock's valuation has increased by 3.77% in three months. But the valuation has declined 9.76% since the beginning of the year 2025.
