Stock Market Holiday On March 26 For Ram Navami
NSE trading will remain shut on march 26 for Ram Navami celebration. Similarly, trading in equity segment and equity derivatives segment, Currency Derivatives Segments and NDS-RST and Tri Party Repo segments, and Commodity Derivatives Segment and Electronic Gold Receipts (EGR) Segment, will remain shut on BSE on the day.
Stock Market Holiday on March 31 For Mahavir Jayanti
There will be a stock market holiday on Tuesday, March 31, for Mahavir Jayanti celebration. Mahavir Jayanti is one of the most popular Jain festivals to mark the celebration of the birth of Lord Mahavira, the 24th and final Tirthankara.
Stock Market Holiday on Eid
As per the NSE website, Id-Ul-Fitr (Ramadan Eid) stock market holiday will fall on Saturday, ie on March 21. Ramzan Eid, or Eid al-Fitr, is celebrated across the world to mark the end of Ramadan, the Islamic holy month of fasting (sawm) and spiritual reflection.
March 2026 Stock Market Holidays on Saturdays, Sundays
Due to Saturdays and Sundays, BSE and NSE will remain shut on March 7,8,14,15,21,22,28,29. The Indian stock market remains open during the weekend. However, there can be some exception like during the presentation of Union Budget 2026-27. The Budget 2026 was presented on February 1, Sunday. Hence, the Indian stock market was open for a special trading session during the Union Budget 2026 (9:15 am-3:30 pm) on Sunday, ie February 1, 2026.
