A powerful explosion shook the Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) facility in Koyali, Vadodara, on Monday, sending thick clouds of smoke into the sky, visible from nearly two kilometres away. Emergency response teams quickly arrived on the scene, cordoning off the area as firefighters work to prevent the fire from spreading further.
Preliminary reports from local sources suggest that the incident may have been triggered by a boiler explosion, though the exact cause is still under investigation. The full extent of the damage remains unclear, and officials are yet to confirm the number of employees on-site or if there are any casualties or injuries. Given the facility's size and significance, the incident has raised concerns about operational safety at IOCL's Koyali plant, one of the key oil refining units in the region.

Emergency services are on high alert as the investigation continues, and authorities are working to bring the situation under control to prevent additional risks to nearby areas. Further updates are expected as officials assess the impact of the explosion and identify potential safety measures.
