India's most loved and respected Industry Titan, Ratan Tata is no more. He died at the age of 86 in Mumbai hospital on October 9, 2024. Ratan Tata will be cremated with full state honours as Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde declared a day of mourning to honour the legend. Also, India's national flag will be flown at half-mast in all the government offices of Maharashtra to pay tribute to Ratan Tata. Several events have also been cancelled.

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) cancelled a press conference scheduled on Thursday evening to announce its second quarter performance, according to company's officials. The press conference was originally scheduled at 1730 hours on Thursday.

Ratan Tata s Brother

Meanwhile, Ratan Tata was a leading industrialist but his brother Jimmy Tata lives a low-profile life in a 2-BHK flat located in Mumbai's Colaba. He reportedly does not even use a mobile phone. Once Ratan Tata shared an image with his brother Jimmy on Instagram and captioned it, "Those were happy days. Nothing came between us. (1945 with my brother Jimmy)." Check the image below:

In the image, you can see both the brothers smiling with a pet dog sitting on the bicycle. It is a known fact that Ratan Tata was huge dog lover. His love for dog can be seen from the fact that when King Charles, then Prince of Wales organised an event to honour Ratan Tata with a Lifetime Achievement award for his philanthropic efforts in 2018, he chose to skip the event. Ratan Tata had initially agreed to attend the event but decided to cancel it in the end as his pet dog was keeping severely unwell.

The move left the King of Charles impressed and he commented, "That's a man. That's the man Ratan is. That's why the House of Tata is so great and why it keeps doing well."

Meawhile, Ratan Tata's brother Jimmy has reportedly major stake in all companies of Tata includes Tata Steel, TCS, and Tata Motors. However, he chose to keep himself away from the limelight and hardly spotted in media or any other events. Jimmy is fond of Squash as businessman Harsh Goenka once shared via a post that he often defeated him in the game.
