Meta has appointed Arun Srinivas as the Managing Director and Head for India, effective from July 1, 2025. This decision follows Sandhya Devanathan's expanded role to manage operations in both India and South East Asia. Srinivas will lead Meta's efforts in India, focusing on business growth and strengthening partnerships with brands, advertisers, developers, and agencies.
Currently, Srinivas is the Director and Head of Ads Business for Meta India. Since joining in 2020, he has significantly contributed to the company's revenue strategies. He has collaborated with top advertisers and agencies to promote AI-powered advertising, Reels, and Messaging solutions across Meta platforms.

Leadership Experience
Srinivas is an alumnus of IIM Kolkata and brings nearly three decades of leadership experience. His career includes roles at Hindustan Unilever, Reebok, Ola, and WestBridge Capital. His expertise spans sales, marketing, and investment sectors, making him well-equipped to lead Meta's operations in one of its fastest-growing markets.
Sandhya Devanathan expressed enthusiasm about Srinivas's appointment: "As India continues to be at the forefront of economic growth and innovation, we are excited to have Arun at the helm of our efforts in this critical market. Meta in India is leading the way in AI adoption, WhatsApp, and Reels."
Focus on Innovation
In his new role, Srinivas will focus on driving innovation within India's dynamic digital economy. He will lead initiatives related to AI advancements, business messaging solutions, and short-form content development. His efforts aim to expand Meta's influence in India's digital landscape.
Srinivas will continue reporting to Sandhya Devanathan as he takes on his elevated responsibilities. His leadership is expected to further Meta's investment in India by building high-performing teams and fostering strong partnerships.
Meta aims to enhance its presence in India's digital economy by doubling down on AI technologies and business messaging solutions. Under Srinivas's guidance, the company seeks to strengthen its long-term growth strategy while serving partners more effectively.
The strategic leadership change aligns with Meta's commitment to innovation and growth in India. With Srinivas at the forefront, Meta plans to deepen its engagement with key stakeholders across various sectors.
