NEET PG 2026 Exam Date Announced: All the medical aspirants pay attention! The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences(NBEMS), on Thursday, January 22, released the tentative examination schedule for medical entrance tests, ie NEET-PG 2026 and NEET-MDS 2026.
Those students who are willing to participate in any of the NEET entrance tests in 2026 can prepare for the examination as per the tentative schedule.

NEET PG 2026 Exam Date
Postgraduate medical candidates will write NEET-PG 2026 on Sunday, August 30, 2026, as per the current schedule. The internship deadline linked to this exam is September 30, 2026. Both NEET PG 2026 and NEET MDS 2026 will be held as computer-based tests at designated centres across India.
| Exam | Proposed exam date | Internship cut-off date | Mode |

| NEET-MDS 2026 | May 2, 2026 (Saturday) | May 31, 2026 | Computer-Based Test (CBT) |
| NEET-PG 2026 | August 30, 2026 (Sunday) | September 30, 2026 | Computer-Based Test (CBT) |
NEET MDS 2026 Exam Schedule
For dental aspirants, NEET-MDS 2026 is tentatively planned for Saturday, May 2, 2026. NBEMS has fixed May 31, 2026, as the last date for completing the mandatory internship. Only candidates who finish their internship by that day are expected to be considered eligible for the MDS examination.
Internship Cut-Off Dates
The notice by NBEMS has also mentioned about the internship cut-off dates. These dates are crucial for aspirants to become eligible for the exams. NEET-MDS 2026 candidates must complete compulsory rotatory internships by May 31, 2026. Those targeting NEET-PG 2026 must finish by September 30, 2026. Missing these dates could mean ineligibility, regardless of exam preparation level.
NBEMS has described this timetable as tentative, but candidates are advised to plan as if it is final. Detailed information brochures for NEET PG 2026 and NEET MDS 2026 will be released closer to the application period. These documents are likely to appear in late 2025, based on earlier cycles.
NEET 2026 Eligibility, Application Steps, Fee Details, Exam Pattern, Syllabi, etc
Aspirants can get details about NEET 2026 eligibility, application steps, fee details, exam pattern, etc in the NEET PG or MDS brochure.
The brochures are expected to cover eligibility conditions, category-wise criteria, application steps, fee details, exam pattern, and syllabi. Aspirants should read them carefully once available, as rules on age, reservations, and documents are usually laid out there. Any later corrigendum will also refer back to those booklets. Students are advised to rely only on official NBEMS notifications for NEET PG 2026 and NEET MDS 2026 updates.
