Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini announced new measures to boost investment for the state's economic growth. He mentioned that policies will be streamlined based on feedback from pre-budget consultations. These discussions involved stakeholders from the manufacturing sector, who shared their insights for the upcoming state budget. Saini assured that these suggestions would be considered in the budget.

During the pre-budget meeting, various representatives from the manufacturing sector presented their ideas. State Industry and Commerce Minister Rao Narbir Singh, Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Vipul Goel, and Minister of State for Food and Civil Supplies Rajesh Nagar were among those present. Saini emphasised that the budget would address both current needs and long-term objectives.
Focus on Economic Growth and Investment
Saini highlighted Haryana's progress in agriculture, industry, education, infrastructure, and technology over recent years. He stressed that the upcoming budget would reflect collective ambitions and priorities. The Chief Minister stated that engaging with all societal sections is crucial for crafting a budget that meets citizens' needs and aspirations.
The Chief Minister assured that constructive suggestions would be prioritised in the budget. This includes strengthening the rural economy, boosting industrial investment, empowering youth through skill development, and enhancing social welfare. He also promised to consider proposals related to food processing, public transport improvements, industrial area facilities, small industries promotion, MSMEs support, ease of doing business, and necessary industrial policy reforms.
Commitment to Inclusivity and Welfare
At another event, Saini reiterated that the state budget would prioritise people's welfare. It aims to ensure representation for all societal sections, including farmers, youth, women, and traders. He made these remarks after meeting with industrialists and textile industry representatives in Panipat.
Saini criticised AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal for allegedly disrespecting Haryana's people. He asserted that Delhi residents would not be misled by Kejriwal again. BJP leaders have criticised Kejriwal over his recent comments about poison in Yamuna.
Political Criticism and Accountability
Saini claimed that Delhi's people would not support Kejriwal's party in the February 5 elections due to unmet expectations. He reiterated that Rs 8,500 crore was allocated by the Centre to Delhi's AAP government for Sewage Treatment Plants (STPs), but neither were they established nor were funds accounted for.
The Chief Minister alleged a lack of clean drinking water in households and neglected ponds in Delhi. He accused Kejriwal of focusing more on rhetoric than addressing these issues. Meanwhile, Saini stated that Haryana has developed a policy to make its textile sector self-reliant.
Promoting Self-Reliance and Industrial Growth
Saini mentioned ongoing efforts to promote small industries under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership. Both Central and Haryana governments aim to boost self-employment opportunities. The goal is to ensure significant contributions from the industrial sector towards national development.
The upcoming budget will reflect Haryana's commitment to economic growth while addressing diverse societal needs. By incorporating stakeholder feedback and prioritising inclusivity, the state aims to foster a balanced development approach.
