The event, held at the police line complex, was attended by Union Minister Anurag Thakur, Himachal Pradesh Public Works Minister Vikramaditya Singh, and BJP national president JP Nadda, who joined virtually.

Additional Funds for Roads and Bridges
In response to Vikramaditya Singh's request, Gadkari announced an additional Rs 150 crore for roads and bridges in Himachal Pradesh. He urged the state government to submit a proposal to the Centre in this regard. Gadkari emphasized the strong connection between the BJP and development, stating that projects worth Rs one lakh crore will be completed in the state by 2024. He encouraged the public to collaborate with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in carrying out development initiatives and propelling India into becoming a third-world financial power.
Upgrading Hamirpur Bypass and Shimla-Bilaspur National Highway
Responding to Anurag Thakur's request, Gadkari announced plans to upgrade the Hamirpur bypass to a four-lane road. He also committed to expediting the process of converting the Shimla-Bilaspur National Highway into a four-lane road. Additionally, Gadkari mentioned a proposal submitted by JP Nadda for work worth Rs 125 crore in Bilaspur, which will be undertaken.
Collaboration for Himachal Pradesh's Development
Anurag Thakur expressed gratitude to Gadkari for fulfilling all requests made. He highlighted the significant increase in the length of roads, from 96,000 to 1.5 lakh kilometers. Vikramaditya Singh emphasized the importance of rising above party politics and prioritizing the interests of Himachal Pradesh. He pledged strong support to those who contribute to the state's progress, ensuring that development remains unhindered.
