Located in Jewar, Uttar Pradesh, the Noida International Airport, which is being called Asia's largest international airport, is all set to become fully operational starting November 2025.
After a series of delays, officials have finally confirmed that international operations at Noida International Airport will kick off in November 2025, while domestic and cargo flights are expected to take off as early as mid-September 2025.
This mega airport, which has faced multiple missed deadlines since its originally planned launch in 2024, is now entering its final phase of construction.
According to official reports, over 80% of the total construction is already complete. The runway and airside infrastructure have crossed 90% completion, while terminal building work is also progressing rapidly.

Cost of Airport Construction
The project, which is being developed in four phases, involves a whopping investment of Rs. 29,650 crore. The first phase alone costs over Rs. 10,000 crore and will handle 1.2 cr passengers annually, as per official data.
The report further stated that, once all four phases are completed, which is expected by 2040, Noida International Airport will become Asia's largest airport, with the capacity to handle 7 crore passengers every year. The entire airport is built across 3,296 acres and is expected to have ultra-modern features. One report says that over 580 trees are being relocated, and an 8-acre green buffer zone is being created as part of the airport's environmental vision.
The Noida International Airport is located just 75 km from Delhi's IGI Airport and will serve major cities like Noida, Greater Noida, Agra, and Dadri.
Delayed in Construction
The airport was originally slated for a September 2024 opening, but it faced multiple delays due to construction setbacks, COVID-19 disruptions, and pending clearances from DGCA and BCAS. It was postponed to April 2025, then June, and is now finally expected to take off in November 2025.
