Noida Police Crack Samsung Phone Theft Case, Arrest 3, Recover 72 Phones

The Noida Police have successfully apprehended three individuals responsible for the theft of 80 Samsung mobile phones during transit. The stolen phones, valued at around Rs 15 lakh, were being transported from Jaipur to Noida. The mastermind behind the theft was a driver employed by a logistics company handling Samsungs shipments. The police recovered 72 of the stolen phones, estimated to be worth Rs 13.50 lakh, from the accused.

In a significant breakthrough, the Noida Police have successfully apprehended three individuals involved in the theft of 80 Samsung mobile phones worth approximately Rs 15 lakh. The stolen devices were part of a consignment being transported from Jaipur to Noida.

Modus Operandi and Arrests

The investigation revealed that one of the accused, Ravi Gour, was employed as a driver with a logistics company responsible for handling Samsung's logistics operations. Driven by greed, Ravi meticulously planned the theft in collaboration with his close friends, Dinesh and Anil Kumar. The trio meticulously executed their plan, stealing the mobile phones during transit.

Acting swiftly upon receiving a complaint from the logistics firm's manager, Jitendra Singh, the Noida Police formed multiple teams to investigate the case. Their efforts led to the apprehension of the three accused on Thursday. During interrogation, Ravi confessed to his involvement in the theft, admitting that he had enlisted the help of his friends, who were not associated with the logistics company.

Recovery of Stolen Phones

The Noida Police have successfully recovered 72 of the stolen Samsung A50 5G mobile phones, estimated to be worth around Rs 13.50 lakh. These recovered devices were found in the possession of the accused.

Remaining Phones and Legal Proceedings

Efforts are currently underway to locate and recover the remaining eight missing mobile phones. The police have gathered information suggesting that the trio sold these phones to random individuals shortly after the theft. The investigation aims to trace these phones and ensure their retrieval.

The Surajpur police station has registered an FIR in connection with the case. The three accused, Ravi Gour, Dinesh, and Anil Kumar, were presented before a local court and subsequently remanded to judicial custody.

The Noida Police's prompt action and meticulous investigation have resulted in the successful recovery of a significant portion of the stolen Samsung mobile phones. The arrest of the three accused involved in the theft demonstrates the department's commitment to combating crime and ensuring the safety of citizens and businesses.
