LIC has taken another giant step forward in customer-centric efforts to help Policyholders cope with the new Corona Pandemic situation. LIC has permitted policyholders to deposit their Maturity claim documents at their nearest LIC office anywhere in the country, considering the restrictions imposed by Corona. This service is available for a limited time only, from now until March 31, 2021.

LIC has allowed Policyholders whose Maturity payments are due to submit Maturity Claims documents to any of its 113 Divisional Offices, 2048 Branches, 1526 Satellite Offices, and 74 Consumer Zones, regardless of the servicing branch of the policy. However, only the servicing division can process the actual Claim charge. The documents will be transferred digitally through the LIC's All India Network.
Officers have been specifically approved in each of these offices to assist with this task. The policyholder may go to any of the LIC offices mentioned above and ask for assistance from an approved officer.
Last year, the LIC had launched an online claims facility in the wake of a pandemic that allows people to keep a safe distance from one another. Death claim registration, maturity and survival dues requests, annuity registration and life certificate submission, policy revival after it has lapsed, and NEFT mandates will all be available online.
