The record date for National Securities Depository Limited's (NSDL) next corporate action to distribute a 100% dividend to shareholders has been announced. Established in 1996 to dematerialize securities such as stocks and bonds and make them available in electronic form, NSDL, or National Securities Depository Limited, is the first and largest central securities depository in India.

NSDL Dividend Record Date
"Pursuant to the Regulation 42 of SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015, we hereby inform that the Record date has been fixed as Friday, September 19, 2025," said NSDL in a stock exchange filing.
NSDL Dividend Payout
"The Board of Directors of the Company at its meeting held on May 23, 2025, had recommended a dividend of Rs. 2/- (Rupees Two Only) per equity share of face value of Rs. 2/- each (i.e. 100%) subject to the approval of shareholders at the 13th AGM. The dividend, if approved, will be paid on or before Tuesday, October 28, 2025, subject to deduction of tax at source," NSDL confirmed in a regulatory filing.
NSDL Q1 Financial Highlights
The company's total income for the first quarter (Q1) ended June 30, 2025, grew by 21.68% from Rs. 156.5 cr in Q1FY25 to Rs. 190.4 Cr in Q1FY26. In the June 2025 quarter, net profit after tax surged by 24.01%, from Rs. 66.6 Cr to Rs. 82.6 Cr. While market share in the unlisted market jumped as the number of companies admitted in Q1FY26 stood at 10,392, with an overall market share of 73.2% (equity) compared with Q1 FY25 at 70.8%, the market share for demat accounts went up from 9.4% in Q1 FY25 to 15.5% in Q1FY26 and crossed 4 crore accounts as of June 30, 2025.

"NSDL (CMP 1250) - The stock is trading firm with strong volumes, finding support near 1210 while resistance is seen at 1285-1300. A breakout above 1300 can lead to fresh upside towards 1350 levels. Price structure indicates strength, and momentum indicators are in favor of the bulls. Buying on declines toward 1220-1240 is advisable," commented Riyank Arora, technical analyst at Mehta Equities Ltd.
