Odisha is gearing up for its major business summit by organising a meeting with ambassadors from various countries in New Delhi. This gathering, scheduled for Thursday, aims to present Odisha's dynamic industrial landscape and emerging investment prospects to an international audience. The event will see participation from ambassadors, high commissioners, consul generals, trade commissioners, and senior diplomats worldwide.

Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi will lead the meeting with a high-level delegation. This engagement seeks to strengthen international partnerships and position Odisha as a significant player in India's industrial growth. Discussions will centre on Odisha's industrial potential, supportive policies, ease of doing business, and initiatives fostering an investor-friendly environment.
Investment Opportunities and Strategic Engagement
The chief minister will extend personal invitations to global stakeholders for the Utkarsh Odisha: Make in Odisha Conclave 2025. Scheduled for January 28 and 29 in Bhubaneswar, this event promises to be the largest industrial gathering in the state. Industries Secretary Hemant Sharma stated that the conclave aims to showcase Odisha's industrial ecosystem and investment opportunities.
During the ambassadors' meet, government-to-business (G2B) meetings are planned. The chief minister will engage with industry leaders and representatives from various sectoral associations. An interactive session targeting industries from the Delhi NCR region will also be hosted by the state government.
Focus on Industrial Sectors
This roadshow will highlight Odisha's robust infrastructure and collaboration opportunities in sectors like IT & ITeS, textiles, food processing, chemicals, petrochemicals, renewable energy, and electronics manufacturing. Business leaders and investors have been invited to explore how Odisha can serve as a key destination for their expansion plans.
The ambassadors' meet and interactive session are vital platforms to communicate Odisha's growth message to both global and domestic investors. The business summit is expected to attract business leaders, industry experts, policymakers, and diplomats from around the world.
Visionary Policies and Infrastructure Development
While unveiling the investment summit logo on September 27, Majhi highlighted Odisha's commitment to its industrial ambitions through visionary policies and improved infrastructure. His government has implemented several measures like developing MSME parks in each district, establishing an FDI Park, multimodal logistics parks, and new industrial corridors to foster a thriving industrial ecosystem.
The Utkarsh Odisha: Make in Odisha Conclave 2025 aims to build on past successes by attracting significant participation from global stakeholders. This initiative underscores Odisha's dedication to becoming a central hub for industrial development in India.
