Om Logistics announced on Friday that it has acquired the Inland Container Depot (ICD) at Bawal in Haryana for Rs 110 crore. This acquisition will help Om Logistics enhance its nationwide operations, reduce transit times, and optimise supply chain management, according to a company statement.

Built on 20 acres within the Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC) industrial estate, the multi-modal hub features automated rail lines and a 30,000 sq ft custom bonded warehouse. It can handle 5,000 containers of EXIM cargo monthly.
Strategic Location and Connectivity
The depot's strategic location on the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC) makes it a key hub for industrial growth. Its multimodal connectivity further strengthens Om Logistics' position in the logistics industry.
Bawal offers connectivity to major ports like Mundra, Pipavav, and JNPT, ensuring seamless cargo movement. Its proximity to Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi and other airports facilitates efficient air cargo handling.
Enhanced Road and Rail Access
The depot is conveniently located near NH48 and NH71, providing easy road access to northern and western India. It also has direct connectivity to the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor (WDFC) and Indian Railways, enabling swift rail cargo movement.
"This significant investment marks a major milestone in the company's journey," Om Logistics said. "With its strategic location and multimodal connectivity, ICD Bawal is set to become a key hub for industrial and economic growth in the region."
The acquisition of ICD Bawal will enable Om Logistics to expand its pan-India operations and reduce average transit times while optimising supply chain management.
Om Logistics' new facility at Bawal is expected to play a crucial role in enhancing the company's logistics capabilities across India. The investment underscores the company's commitment to improving infrastructure and operational efficiency.
The company highlighted that the depot's strategic location near major highways and rail corridors would facilitate faster cargo movement across various modes of transport.
Om Logistics' acquisition of ICD Bawal represents a significant step forward in its efforts to strengthen its logistics network and improve service delivery across India.
This development is poised to boost industrial activities in the region, contributing to economic growth and creating new opportunities for businesses relying on efficient logistics solutions.
The new facility is expected to enhance Om Logistics' ability to manage supply chains more effectively, benefiting customers with reduced transit times and improved service quality.
Overall, this acquisition aligns with Om Logistics' strategy to expand its footprint and capabilities in India's rapidly growing logistics sector.
