The romantic-comedy Param Sundari, starring Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor, has witnessed an encouraging jump in box office collections on its second day, August 30, 2025. After opening to a mixed critical response on Friday, the film's business gained momentum on Saturday, signaling a positive word-of-mouth and growing audience interest.
Param Sundari Box Office Collection Day 2 Updates
According to Sacnilk data, Param Sundari's India net collection for Day 1 stood at Rs 7.25 crore, while Day 2 saw a significant increase of 27.59% to Rs 9.25 crore, bringing the total two-day net collection in India to Rs 16.50 crore. This uptick on the second day underlines a stronger audience turnout as the weekend progresses.

Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor's Param Sundari Worldwide Box Office Collection
On the global front, the film has amassed a total worldwide gross of Rs 26.80 crore in its first two days, which includes an overseas collection of Rs 7 crore. Domestically, the gross collection in India is pegged at Rs 19.80 crore during this period, suggesting that the film is slowly gaining traction despite the absence of discount offers or promotional gimmicks.
The occupancy rates on Day 2 reflect the growing footfall. Hindi 2D screenings recorded an overall occupancy of 18.13% on Saturday. Breaking it down by show timings, morning shows saw a low occupancy of 9.67%, which steadily improved through the day with afternoon shows at 18.03%, evening at 19.70%, and night shows reaching as high as 25.11%. This pattern indicates that the film's audience preferred later shows, likely driven by positive word-of-mouth and the film's youth-centric appeal.
Param Sundari is directed by Tushar Jalota and produced under Dinesh Vijan's Maddock Films banner. The film reportedly has a budget of around Rs 50 crore.
Param Sundari Movie Review: Pardesiya Song Catches Attention
Industry observers had initially expected moderate business due to mixed critical reviews, but the film's strong soundtrack, particularly the popular song "Pardesiya" and the chemistry of the lead pair have attracted young audiences, contributing to the steady rise in box office numbers.
Film critic and industry insider Taran Adarsh shared insights on social media, highlighting that Param Sundari's opening day collection of Rs 7.25 crore surpassed expectations. He noted that the film outperformed Maddock's previous release Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, which had collected Rs 7.02 crore on its opening day. Adarsh attributed the healthy opening to strong spot bookings and the advantage of being a solo release, which helped capture the audience's attention.
Param Sundari Star Cast
Param Sundari stars Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor in the lead roles, bringing their on-screen chemistry to this romantic comedy. The supporting cast includes Sanjay Kapoor, Manjot Singh, Renji Panicker, Inayat Verma, and Siddhartha Shankar, each playing important roles that add humour, emotion, and depth to the story.
