March 4, Wednesday: Holi
March 20/21, Friday/Saturday: Eid-ul-Fitr (as per moon sighting)
March 23, Monday: Shaheed Diwas
March 26, Thursday: Ram Navami
March 31, Tuesday: Mahavir Jayanti
On these dates, liquor shops, bars, wine stores and restaurants across Mumbai and Maharashtra will remain closed for alcohol sales. The Eid-ul-Fitr date may slightly vary depending on moon sighting. If you're in Mumbai,you must plan ahead, as enforcement usually begins from midnight prior to the declared dry day.
National Dry Days 2026; All States
India does not have a uniform alcohol ban policy year-round, but three dates are observed as national dry days across all states:
January 26 on Republic Day, August 15 on Independence Day and October 2 on Gandhi Jayanti which are also observed at national holidays On these days, alcohol sales are prohibited nationwide.
