Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Launch Rajasthan Global Investment Summit 2024 with Key Business Leaders

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate the Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit 2024 on Monday. As the chief guest, he will deliver the opening address and launch the Rajasthan Global Business Expo. Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, state Cabinet members, and over 5,000 investors and business leaders will be present at the event.

Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma will deliver a welcome speech outlining his government's plans to double the state's economy to USD 350 billion in five years. The Rajasthan government has already secured investment proposals exceeding Rs 30 lakh crore ahead of the summit.

Key Participants and Sessions

The inaugural session will feature prominent business leaders and diplomats, including Kumar Mangalam Birla, Anil Agarwal, Gautam Adani, Anand Mahindra, Sanjiv Puri, Ajay S Shriram, and Japan's Ambassador Keiichi ONO. Ministers and diplomats from 32 countries will also attend.

A total of eight country sessions and roundtables are planned during the three-day summit. These sessions aim to foster partnerships between Rajasthan and participating countries. The summit includes Denmark, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Switzerland, Malaysia, Spain, Cuba, Venezuela, Morocco, Argentina, Brazil, Costa Rica, Nepal, Oman, Poland, and Thailand as Summit Partner Countries.

Summit Highlights

The summit will also feature a Non-Resident Rajasthani (NRR) conclave on December 10. This event aims to unite the Rajasthani diaspora worldwide for community building and collaboration. The MSME Conclave on the third day will gather entrepreneurs and policymakers to discuss the sector's future readiness.

In addition to these events, 12 thematic sessions will cover topics like women entrepreneurship, manufacturing, water management and sustainability. Other themes include sustainable energy, healthcare, sustainable mining, startups, education, sustainable finance, agri-business, tourism infrastructure and supply chain.

Global Participation

The summit sees participation from countries like the US, UK, Germany, Australia, Indonesia, Egypt among others. Finland, Russia, Seychelles, Chad are also involved in various capacities. Ecuador, Ghana, Iraq join Madagascar in participating alongside Paraguay and Zimbabwe.

The Rajasthan Global Business Expo is another major highlight of the summit. It will showcase thematic pavilions such as the Rajasthan Pavilion and country pavilions. Exhibits from leading Indian and global business groups including public sector enterprises will be featured.
