PM-Kisan 22nd installment: The wait is almost over for 9.32 cr farmer as the Prime Minister Narendra Modi will release the 22nd installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) scheme on March 13, 2026, transferring around Rs. 19,000 crore to nearly 9.32 crore farmers across the country as per PTI report.

According to a senior Agriculture Ministry official quoted in the PTI report, the fund transfer will take place from Guwahati, Assam, where the Prime Minister will digitally transfer the amount directly to farmers' bank accounts under the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system.
As of the 21st installment, the scheme has already disbursed approximately Rs. 4.09 lakh crore to farmers across India.

About PM-Kisan Scheme

Launched in February 2019, the PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana was introduced to supplement the income of small and marginal farmer families across the country.

Under the scheme eligible farmers receive Rs. 6,000 per year. Payments are made in three equal installments of Rs. 2,000. Installments are usually credited every four months. Money is transferred directly through DBT to Aadhaar-linked bank accounts. The scheme has become one of the largest income support programmes for farmers in India.

The PM-Kisan 22nd installment release date comes ahead of the kharif sowing season, and the funds are expected to help farmers purchase essential agricultural inputs such as seeds, fertilizers, and pesticides.

Under the PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme, instalments are usually released three times a year in February-March, June-July and in October
Recent installments under the scheme include:

19th installment: Rs. 22,000 crore released to 9.8 crore farmers in February 2025
20th installment: Rs. 20,500 crore transferred to 9.7 crore farmers in August 2025
21st installment: Rs. 18,000 crore credited to 9 crore farmers in November 2025

Step 1: Visit the official website: pmkisan.gov.in
Step 2: Go to the "Farmers Corner" section
Step 3: Click on "Know Your Status"
Step 4: Enter your registration number, Aadhaar number or mobile number
Step 5: Fill in the CAPTCHA code and click "Get Data"

The portal will display the PM-Kisan payment history, last installment credit date and pending status.
