PM Kisan Scheme Instalment: Amid heightened anticipation about the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme (PM Kisan) instalment, reports are suggesting that the government will begin transferring the 20th instalment of the welfare scheme soon.

The 20th instalment of the PM Kisan scheme will start coming directly to registered farmers' accounts from July 18, reported the Times of India, citing government officials. Additionally, several reports have suggested that the PM Kisan scheme 20th instalment will be released by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at an event during his ongoing Bihar visit.

When Will PM Kisan Scheme Instalment Be Released?

The 20th instalment of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi will be released on Friday, July 18. The 20th instalment of Rs 2000 will start coming directly to registered small and marginal farmers to their accounts from today, reported Times of India earlier citing sources. However, there has been no official confirmation about the same. GoodReturns couldn't independently verify the claim.

Merely 6.32 lakh marginal and small farmers in Uttar Pradesh's Prayagraj will benefit from the PM Kisan scheme and they may receive the 20th instalment soon. The amount will be directly deposited into farmers' accounts, Deputy Director (agriculture) Pawan Kumar Vishwakarma told Times of India.

Several reports are suggesting that an announcement related to the PM Kisan instalment is expected during PM Modi's Bihar visit today. He is expected to inaugurate multiple projects worth thousand of crores of rupees. He is scheduled to visit Bihars's Motihari and other districts on Friday.

PM Kisan Scheme: When Was Last Instalment Released?

The last instalment of PM Kisan Nidhi was disbursed in February, 2025. As the scheme involves the quarterly disbursement of an assistance of Rs 2,000 every quarter, it was expected that the eligible farmers will receive their instalment in June or July.

What is PM Kisan Scheme?

Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM-Kisan) is PM Modi-led government's flagship scheme launched for the welfare of farmers. The scheme guarantees an annual assistance of Rs 6,000 to landholding farmers. The total PM Kisan Samman Nidhi amount will be disbursed in every four months. As the last instalment was released in February, there next PM Kisan Nidhi instalment can be released in July or in August.

PM Kisan Samman Nidhi was announced by PM Narendra Modi in February 2019. The scheme was implemented in 2019 after coming into effect on December 1, 2018. The PM Modi-led government launched the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi to provide financial assistance to landholding farmers across the country.
