Polio Drops 2025 in Bengaluru: The National Pulse Polio Programme began from Sunday, December 21 to vaccinate children aged 0-5 against the disease. Parents living in Bengaluru can locate the nearest Polio vaccination centre in their area via a QR code system introduced by the Great Bengaluru Authority (GBA).
For those who are planning to take their children for polio vaccination in the metro city can use the online polio centre location facility by following these steps.

How To Locate the Nearest Polio Centre in Karnataka?
As per the recent initiative, people can locate their nearest polio centre via the QR code facility, available on the official GBA website, reported The Hindu. With the facility, people can quickly identify nearby vaccination booths and plan details. The initiative uses digital tools to guide families towards centres before visiting. It aims to support participation as the National Pulse Polio Programme will start on Sunday across Bengaluru neighbourhoods.

-For Bengaluru residents, visit the official website of the Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA), ie https://bbmp.gov.in/home
-Navigate the home page, scroll down and check notifications in the 'Event' section.
-Click on the 'Know your nearby polio booth' link.
-Enter details in the 'Location filter' section, like details of your corporation, zones, ward, etc.
-Once you enter exact details of your location, you can locate the nearest polio booths.
For those who are living outside Bengaluru, can locate the polio booth by checking with their municipality officer.
National Pulse Polio Programme
Several states and union territories including Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Goa, Andaman and Nicobar, Jammu and Kashmir, etc began the pule polio vaccination campaign 2025 from Sunday under the National Pulse Polio Programme.
Under the phase, Greater Bengaluru Authority has planned 4,452 vaccination booths across its limits. These include 3,391 fixed booths in set locations. There will also be 601 transit teams at busy points and 460 mobile teams visiting different areas to reach households and communities.
The programme is being carried out through 145 project units working under GBA, in association with various partner organisations. Nearly 18,000 vaccinators and 881 supervisors will visit over 28 lakh homes. The effort targets more than 11 lakh children aged 0-5 years, including those in 1,349 slum areas and migrant settlements. The initiative, organised in line with the Centre's instructions to ensure that all children below five years of age are administered polio drops. As part of routine immunisation, five doses of oral polio vaccine are administered, while an additional dose is given on Pulse Polio Day.
