Pope Francis, the current head of the Catholic Church and sovereign of the Vatican City State, is currently under critical conditions. Despite overseeing one of the largest financially resourced churches, Pope Francis' life as the head of the Vatican, has been simple without any personal wealth. As per reports, his net worth is barely 100 dollars. He takes zero salary in his pocket.
Pope Francis Net Worth:
According to Celebrity Networth, Pope Francis has a net worth of $100. The Pope does not have a salary. He has taken a vow of poverty and lives a modest life. That is not the case for all priests. Cardinals at the Vatican can receive monthly salaries of roughly $4,700 to $5,900.

Pope Francis Early Life:
He was born on December 17, 1936, to Mario José Bergoglio and Regina María Sívori, in Flores, a neighbourhood of Buenos Aires. At the birth, his name was Jorge Mario Bergoglio. However, it would take at least 22 years for Jorge Mario to find his inspiration to become a priest.
While on his way to celebrate the Spring Day, Bergoglio passed by a church to go to confession and was inspired by a priest. He then studied at the archdiocesan seminary, Inmaculada Concepción Seminary, in Villa Devoto, Buenos Aires, and, after three years, entered the Society of Jesus as a novice on 11 March 1958, as per Wikipedia.
In the next two years, Bergoglio faced the hardship of both human desires and his journey to a religious career. As a Jesuit novice, he studied the humanities in Santiago, Chile. He officially became a Jesuit on March 12, 1960. It was then he officially set on his religious profession, vowing to live in poverty, chastity and obedience of a member of the order.
Later ahead, in 1967, Bergoglio studied theology at Facultades de Filosofía y Teología de San Miguel, and in December 1969, he obtained Archbishop Ramón José Castellano title. His final stage of spiritual training as a Jesuit, artisanship, was completed in Alcalá de Henares, Spain. He took his final oath as a Jesuit and a fourth vow of obedience to missioning by the pope on April 22, 1973.
From 1973 to 1979, he served as a Jesuit provincial superior in Argentina and moved ahead to become the archbishop of Buenos Aires in 1998. In the early 2000s, he was created a cardinal in 2001 by Pope John Paul II. Right after this, Bergoglio grabbed headlines for leading the Argentina church in the December 2001 riots and was referred to as a political rival by the administrations of Néstor Kirchner and Cristina Fernández de Kirchner.
However, after the resignation of Pope Benedict XVI on 28 February 2013, a papal conclave elected Bergoglio as his successor on 13 March. He chose Francis as his papal name in honour of Saint Francis of Assisi, as per Wikipedia.
That being said, Pope Francis is the first head of Vatican City who is outside of Europe since the 8th-century Syrian Pope Gregory III. He is also the first pope from the Society of Jesus (the Jesuit Order), and also the first from the region of the Americas and Southern Hemisphere.
Pope Francis Condition Update:
On February 23, Vatican City updated that, the Holy See Press Office said Pope Francis had a peaceful ninth night in Rome's Gemelli hospital where he is being treated for double pneumonia.
Further, the Holy See Press Office said, "The Holy Father's condition remains critical, but since last evening, he has not experienced any further respiratory crises." It added, "The complexity of the clinical picture, along with the time required for the pharmacological treatment to show results, means that the prognosis is still guarded."
