Today, the prices of the commercial 19kg LPG Cylinders were slashed in India. The prices of the liquified petroleum gas (LPG) cylinders will be revised on the first day of every month. The revision of the prices is changed in line with the prices of the fuel in the international markets and currency exchange rate.

The rates of Indane Gas cylinders are cut by Rs 198 per cylinder in Delhi, with effect from July 1, 2022. In Mumbai the 19kg commercial LPG cylinder is down Rs 190.50, Rs 187 in Chennai and Rs 182 in Kolkata. With the rate cut, the prices of commercial LPG cylinders in Delhi will cost Rs 2,021 as against the previous price of Rs 2,219.
In June, the prices of the commercial cylinders were trimmed by Rs 135 per cylinder. The rates of the domestic cylinders were hiked by Rs 50 on May 7 and again on May 19, giving a double shock for customers in a month.

The prices of domestic LPG cylinders in top-metro cities will cost Rs 1003 in New Delhi; Rs 1002.50 in Mumbai; Rs 1060.50 in Kolkata and Rs 1018.50 in Chennai.
The cut in the prices of the commercial cylinders has come as a big relief for consumers who are facing the brunt of sky-rocketing inflation rates. The decision to trim down the prices of commercial LPG cylinders is a welcome move for commoners who are facing the brunt of rising food prices.
The LPG Cylinder rates are revised monthly for all the states and union territories in India by the state-run oil marketing companies.
