The passing of Ratan Naval Tata, a prominent figure in Indian industry, has left a significant void. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman expressed her sorrow, noting his profound impact on society. "Saddened by the passing away of Shri Ratan Tata, a leader par excellence, visionary industrialist, and philanthropist whose contributions have left an indelible mark on our society," she stated on X.

Sitharaman highlighted Tata's dedication to innovation and ethical business practices. She remarked that his commitment to social responsibility not only transformed industries but also uplifted communities. "Extend my deepest condolences to his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched. His remarkable legacy will continue to inspire generations to come," she added.

Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Chaudhary also paid tribute to Tata's multifaceted contributions. He acknowledged Tata as a leading philanthropist who made significant impacts in education, healthcare, environment, and rural development. Chaudhary noted, "If you look at the life of Ratan Tata he was not only an iconic Industrialist but also an icon for the youth."
Ratan Tata passed away at 86 in a Mumbai hospital on Wednesday night. He was widely regarded as one of the world's most influential industrialists. His reputation extended beyond business; he was seen as a corporate titan with unmatched integrity and decency.
Chaudhary expressed his sorrow over Tata's death, recognising his role in national development. "Today on this sad day I express my deepest condolences," he said. Tata's life and work continue to serve as an inspiration for many across generations.
Tata's unique status as both a business leader and a secular living saint is rare. His legacy is marked by decency and integrity, qualities that have earned him respect worldwide.
