Fractional ownership platform RealX has facilitated the acquisition of over 3,500 square yards of commercial land in Ayodhya for Rs 10.4 crore. The company announced that it successfully closed a deal for a 31,646 sq ft (3516.22 sq yards) commercial land parcel in Ayodhya valued at Rs 10.40 crore.

In this transaction, 57 investors participated, contributing amounts ranging from Rs 50,000 to Rs 25 lakhs to secure proportional ownership rights in the property. This initiative marks a significant step towards making high-value real estate more accessible through fractional ownership and property tokenisation.
Benefits of Fractional Ownership
Fractional ownership helps mitigate the high costs associated with owning expensive assets like real estate, yachts, and private jets. Traditional ownership demands substantial capital and maintenance expenses, often beyond the reach of many individuals. By distributing these costs among multiple investors, fractional ownership enables people to enjoy high-value assets without bearing the entire financial burden.
This model also encourages diversification and risk reduction, potentially leading to higher returns. RealX's approach allows investors to experience the benefits of owning premium assets while sharing the associated costs and responsibilities.
Ayodhya's Real Estate Market
RealX Cofounder and CEO Manish Kumar highlighted Ayodhya as one of the most appreciating property markets currently. He stated, "Ayodhya is one of the top appreciating property markets today. With support from central and state governments, the town is poised for rapid growth." The town's development prospects have been bolstered by government support, making it an attractive investment destination.
Securing prime property in Ayodhya was challenging due to a seller's market, but it presented an ideal opportunity for fractional ownership. This method allowed investors to overcome barriers to entry in a competitive market.
The recent deal underscores the potential of fractional ownership in democratizing access to high-value real estate investments. By enabling multiple investors to share ownership, RealX is paving the way for broader participation in lucrative property markets.
The success of this transaction demonstrates how fractional ownership can make premium real estate investments more attainable for a wider audience. It also highlights the growing interest in innovative investment models that offer both accessibility and potential returns.
As RealX continues to facilitate such deals, more investors can look forward to participating in high-value asset markets without needing substantial individual capital outlays. This trend is likely to gain momentum as more people recognise the benefits of shared ownership models.
The Ayodhya land acquisition by RealX exemplifies how fractional ownership can transform traditional investment approaches, making them more inclusive and financially viable for a diverse range of investors.
