Reliance AGM 2022: RIL Working With Google On 5G Smartphone Rollout: Mukesh Ambani

Reliance Industries Limited is working with Google on 5G smartphone rollout, said RIL chairman and managing director Mukesh Ambani. Reliance Industries is working with Google on ultra-affordable 5G Phone. It is worth noting that Jio 5G partners are Meta, Google, Intel, and Microsoft. Reliance Jio has also announced partnership with Qualcomm. RIL is working with Intel on several applications.

Meanwhile, Reliance Industries Limited hosts its 45th annual general meeting (AGM) on Monday, August 29, 2022. The AGM has been conducted via online video conferencing for the third consecutive year.

"For pan-India 5G network, we've committed Rs 2 lakh cr investment. Jio has prepared the world's fastest 5G rollout plan. By Diwali, we will launch Jio 5G across multiple key cities. By Dec'23, we will deliver 5G to every town of India," said Mukesh Ambani.

"The three-fold advantage of Stand-Alone 5G architecture, largest and best mix of spectrum, and Carrier Aggregation means #Jio5G will be able to offer an unparalleled combination of coverage, capacity, quality, and affordability," added Mukesh Ambani.
"Jio will deploy the latest version of 5G, called Stand-Alone 5G, which has zero dependency on our 4G network," said Mukesh Ambani.

"With Jio 5G, we will connect everyone, every place and everything with the highest quality and most affordable data. In addition to meeting India's needs, we are confident of offering digital solutions to global markets," claimed Mukesh Ambani.

Mukesh Ambani said at the 45th annual general meeting, "Hope to switch to hybrid mode for AGM next year."

Earlier, Reliance Jio emerged the highest bidder in the 5G Spectrum auctions held during the first week of August. According to reports, it spent Rs 88,000 crore, approximately half of the total Rs 1.5 trillion paid by all the bidders.
