Reliance Jio Hikes Prepaid Tariffs: A Big Update For Jio Users

Following in the footsteps of Vodafone Idea and Bharti Airtel, Reliance Jio said today that its prepaid tariffs will increase by up to 21% starting next month. The new plans will come into effect from December 1 and will be available through all established Jio touchpoints and channels. Bharti Airtel and Vi have recently hiked their prepaid tariffs by 20-25 percent. As Airtel's tariff rise took effect on November 26, Vi's adjustment took effect on November 25.

In an official statement issued on 28th November 2021, the telecom giant has said that "In line with its commitment to further strengthen a sustainable telecom industry, where every Indian is empowered with a true digital life, Jio today announced its new unlimited plans. These plans will provide the best value in the industry. Upholding the Jio promise of providing the best-quality service at the lowest price globally, Jio customers will continue to be the biggest beneficiaries."

"The new unlimited plans will go-live on 1 st December 2021 and can be opted from all existing touchpoints and channels" Reliance Jio further added.
