Shares of Rhetan TMT Limited today rallied by 4.05% to reach an intraday high of Rs 18.49, having closed at Rs 17.76 per share the day before. The scrip has done well historically with its 52-week high of Rs 19.20 and low of Rs 7.62. The Company's stock has enjoyed both multibagger returns of 130% having shot the price from Rs 7.62 to Rs 18.49 which suggests it is in its growth stage and has a long way to go.
In the meantime, a major TMT and round bar manufacturer in India, Rhetan TMT has pruned its financial outlook for Q2 estimates for the fiscal year 2025 reporting a loss. They reported a net profit increase of 234.1% to Rs 2.27 crore compared to Q2FY24. On the other hand, they also reported net sales drops of 52.7% to Rs 4.95 crore. This shows that the Company has made good strides in profit margins but has struggled on the revenue front. Important financial averages such as Return on Capital Employed (ROCE) which stands at 6.50% and Return on Equity (ROE) 4.44% are also low.

As part of its full corporate commitment to environmental sustainability, Rhetan TMT recently stated that it will be establishing a solar power plant of 2 MW at its manufacturing unit in Kadi, Gujarat. These plans are initiated to cut down the power cost of the company and change the company's energy consumption to environmentally friendly energy, thus progressively helping meet the company's goals. The Board of the Company is scheduled to meet on Friday to consider and approve the solar power project.
The solar initiative is, however, in pursuit of improving the overall operational effectiveness and sustainability of the company. During the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2024, the Rhetan TMT would sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) whereby it would have the support of the State of Gujarat in hearing the necessary approvals and clearance. The solar power plant is expected to be ready by 2025 and will lessen the company's dependence on conventional energy from other sources as it pursues its sustainability policies.
Rhetan TMT has also set up a rolling mill at Kadi (Mehsana) in Gujarat with a production capacity of 100-120 MT per day where TMT bars and round bars are manufactured. Such products are used in sizeable construction and large infrastructure development projects such as dams and bridges as well as for residential and commercial buildings in the State of Gujarat.
The company's intention to develop the solar power plant underscores its strategic commitment to decarbonization goals and support for India's renewable energy mix targets. The Government of Gujarat has actively facilitated the implementation of the project by enabling the company to obtain necessary approvals and transition to solar energy without hitches. This is in consonance with the state's striving for the promotion of eco-friendly industrial practices.
