Power generating company with a smallcap status, KP Energy has turned ex-dividend on October 7, for its final dividend payout of Rs 0.10 per share for FY24. On the ex-date, KP Energy witnessed sharp selling pressure, hitting 5% lower circuit. This means that there many sellers in KP Energy but no buyers on Monday. KP Energy is currently a little over Rs 450 apiece.
KP Energy Share Price:
On October 7, KP Energy share price ended at Rs 450.40 apiece, freezing at its 5% lower circuits. The company's market cap is at Rs 3,003.72 crore. This is the second consecutive day decline in KP Energy.
Last week, on October 4th, the stock price dipped by nearly 4% on BSE.
The stock has a 52-week high and low of Rs 513.90 apiece and Rs 160.51 apiece respectively. Data from BSE showed that its price-to-equity ratio was at 48.95x, while its return on equity is at 33.84%.
KP Energy Dividend:
The company fixed October 7 as record date to determine eligible shareholders, which was also its ex-dividend date. The dividend payout is final for FY24 to the tune of Rs 0.10 per share. The appearance of dividends in demat accounts will be soon.
Earlier, the company delivered interim dividend of Rs 0.10 per share, for which it turned ex-dividend in August this year. Overall, in FY24, KP Energy is paying dividends up to Rs 0.20 per share.
This comes after the company carried bonus issues of 2:1 ratio in February 2024.
Meanwhile, in March 2023, KP Energy stock also split in the ratio of 1:2 ratio, meaning, 1 equity share having a face value of Rs 10 each was sub-divided into two shares for Rs 5 face value.
