This week, attention will probably be centered around Aditya Vision Ltd., a small-cap company in the consumer discretionary sector, as the stock is set to go ex-dividend in two days. For FY24, the company announced a special dividend of Rs 5.10; the record date is set for March 28. With a market valuation of Rs 4,262.29 Cr, Aditya Vision's shares closed Tuesday's trading session 4.47% down at Rs 3325 on the BSE.

The Board of Directors of the company in its meeting held on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 have, inter alia considered and approved a special dividend of 51% or Rs 5.10 on face value of Rs 10/- each per equity share for the financial year 2023-24, to mark 25th year of existence of Aditya Vision.

Friday, March 29, 2024 has been fixed as the record date for the purpose of determining the entitlement of shareholders for payment of the above-said dividend.

In the December 2023 quarter, the firm had net sales of Rs. 413.26 crore, up 30.02% from Rs. 317.85 crore in the same quarter of 2022. Its net profit increased by 13.58% from Rs. 19.52 crore in Q3FY23 to Rs. 22.17 crore in Q3FY24. Aditya Vision said its standalone EBITDA reached Rs. 44.38 crore, up 21.12% from Rs. 36.64 crore in the same quarter of the previous fiscal.

Aditya Vision is slightly bearish on the daily charts with strong resistance at 3670. A daily close below support of 3225 could lead to a target of 2941 in the near term, said AR Ramachandran from Tips2trades.
