Rupee Stable, Sensex Jumps Over 1000 Points In Early Trade

Rupee has gained strength in morning trade against US Dollar on Friday. Rupee rose nearly 0.13% to 82.21 in early morning trade with the gain of 10.5 paise against October 13 close. In opening trade, rupee gained approximately 0.15% to 82.22.

Earlier on October 13, rupee traded in a narrow range and settled 5 paise lower at 82.38 against the US dollar, tracking a muted trend in domestic equities amid weak domestic macroeconomic data.

Meanwhile, BSE Sensex gained a huge 1036 points in early trade at 58272 and NSE Nifty rose sharply 290 points at 17305 in early trade. Infosys gained 3.90% and HCL Tech surged by 3.70% amid strong latest quarterly results and figured in top gainers list.

It is worth mentioning that all the sectoral indices were trading in green in morning trade. IT sector, auto sector, and bank sector gained nearly 1% to 2% in the trade in morning on Friday.
