Rupee Vs Dollar: Rupee Falls To A New Low Of 83.04 Against US Dollar In Early Trade

Rupee began the day by shedding 5 paisa against the US Dollar on Thursday. In morning trade on Thursday, Rupee fell to a new low to 83.04. Earlier, Rupee hit the 83-mark on Wednesday as Dollar gained strength.

On Wedneaday, Rupee fell 61 paise to decline below the 83-mark for the first time against the US dollar amid relentless foreign capital outflows and a strong dollar in the global markets.

Additionally, surging crude prices in the global markets and risk-averse sentiment among investors weighed on the local currency, according to traders.

Meanwhile, BSE Sensex declined 200 points to 58906 and NSE Nifty fell 68 points to 17444 in early trade. IndusInd Bank, Coal India, Hindalco, and ONGC fell over 1% in early trade.
