Rupee Vs Dollar: Rupee Falls To A New Record Low Of 83.02 Against US Dollar

Rupee ended at a new record low against US Dollar for the first time on October 19, 2022. Earlier in the day, Rupee opened a little higher at 82.33 against US Dollar.

However, in the day, Rupee gained nearly 0.05% but trimmed all the gains to depreciate nearly 0.78% thus falling to a new low of 83. It ended at 83.02, a new record low for the first time, against the US Dollar.

Meanwhile, the benchmark Indian 10-year government bond yield ended at 7.4510%.

"Market has shifted focus from dovish commentary to falling rupee and rising US yields again, and we expect some more selling pressure running into the auction," stated Debendra Kumar Dash, senior vice president, treasury, at AU Small Finance Bank told Reuters.
