Samsung is gearing up to launch its next flagship lineup, the Galaxy S26 series and major design changes, hardware upgrades and smart technology shifts are already making headlines. This time, the focus is on thinner form factors, premium materials, Qi2 wireless charging integration and brighter, more immersive displays.
Here is everything we know so far about the Galaxy S26 Ultra, Galaxy S26 Edge and Galaxy S26 Pro models, including design updates, specifications, and expected launch details.
Samsung Galaxy S26 Series: Galaxy S26 Ultra, Galaxy S26 Edge and Galaxy S26 Pro Release Date, Features And More (Expected)
The Samsung Galaxy S26 series is expected to launch in January 2026, according to multiple news reports and industry rumours.

Meanwhile talking about features and specifications, Samsung is reportedly discontinuing the "Plus" variant in favour of a newly designed Galaxy S26 Edge. The new Edge model is said to focus on ultra-slim aesthetics, potentially making it one of the thinnest smartphones on the market. The previous generation measured 5.8mm in thickness, but the S26 Edge could shrink further to just 5.5mm, making it impressively sleek.
Despite being slim, Samsung is expected to enhance durability by incorporating titanium frames, a material previously exclusive to the Ultra variant.
This shift in design language hints at Samsung's goal to blend elegance with durability, especially as the smartphone market embraces thinner yet tougher form factors.
Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra: Lighter, Borderless and Possibly Camera-Ring-Free
The Galaxy S26 Ultra is also expected to undergo a notable slimming down. Sources suggest the Ultra could measure less than 8mm in thickness and weigh under 218 grams, improving its ergonomics without compromising flagship-level performance.
In addition, Samsung may eliminate the signature camera ring outlines seen in previous Ultras, resulting in a more seamless and clean rear panel design.
Display-wise, the Ultra may sport:
- 6.89-inch large display
- Very thin bezels (only 1.2mm) for almost full-screen experience
- New anti-reflective glass for better visibility in sunlight
Samsung Galaxy S26 Pro: Compact But More Capable Than Ever
The Galaxy S26 Pro will continue to target users who prefer compact yet powerful smartphones. The screen is expected to slightly grow from 6.2 inches to 6.27 inches, offering more display real estate while still being easy to use one-handed.
One of the most significant upgrades to the S26 Pro is the integration of Qi2 magnetic wireless charging, a feature aimed at rivalling Apple's MagSafe and Google's upcoming Pixel 10 Pro lineup. This will allow for faster, more efficient wireless charging and better accessory support.
Premium Titanium Frames to Expand Beyond Ultra
Samsung appears ready to expand the use of titanium to more models in the S26 series. While previously reserved for Ultra and select Edge variants, the titanium frame construction may now feature across the board, possibly including the Pro variant for added durability, lighter weight, and a premium feel.
