Sanam Teri Kasam Re-Release Box Office Day 1: Harshvardhan Rane's Film Running Houseful, May Break Its Records

Sanam Teri Kasam: The tragic love story of Saraswati and Inder played by Harshvardhan Rane and Mawra Hocane, is back once again in Indian cinemas on Friday, February 7, 2025, to reminisce the essence of love and sacrifice. Part 1 of Sanam Teri Kasam which was released in 2016, is being played on OTT platforms and theatres despite the movie being available on YouTube. From the latest report, the re-release of Sanam Teri Kasam has recorded massive love from fans and is running houseful. It is expected that the movie may bag about Rs 2 crore collection on its first day.

The first part of the movie is re-released after receiving massive demand from social media, and ahead of Valentine's Day will be celebrated on February 14.

Where To Watch Sanam Teri Kasam Again?

Apart from cinemas, the movie can be streamed on OTT platforms like Jio Cinema, Zee5, YouTube, and Apple TV. The film is available for free on Jio and YouTube.

Ahead of the re-release, the movie bagged advance bookings of over 67,000 tickets for the opening day alone. Right after the announcement of its comeback, about 20,000 tickets were booked in advance around 12 noon, and by the end of February 6th, it received more than 47,000 bookings.

Going by the massive demand, the first day of the re-launch is expected to break its own record with the prediction of Rs 2 crore box office collection.

Sanam Teri Kasam was first released on February 5, 2016, and it has only bagged up to Rs 1 crore in box office collection.

While full-fledged data from the box office is yet to be confirmed, however, popular movie critic Kamal R Kham (KRK) through its social media platform X revealed that it had bagged Rs 1.40 crore box office before noon of Friday and the numbers are counting.

His data showed that all India gross business at 11 am on Friday, Sanam Teri Kasam bagged box office of Rs 1.03 crore at PVR + Inox, while Rs 37 lakh collection was seen at Cinepolis. Till 11 am, the count was up to Rs 1.40 crore.

He said, "Finally, I got reports from all over India and it's really true that SanamTeriKasam is running Housefull at many centres. While this film is available on YouTube also."

Meanwhile, as per KoiMoi report, Sanam Teri Kasam has done a remarkable job in terms of advance sales at the ticket window. The film, before releasing in the theaters with around 1900 shows made an advance sales of 1.55 crore gross (excluding blocked seats). It also registered a ticket sale of 88K+ for the opening day, Friday, February 7.

Sanam Teri Kasam tells the story of a tough ex-convict Inder and a traditional librarian Saru. Inder and Saru fall in love and get married but a tragedy changes their lives forever. The cinematography was done by Chirantan Das, the music was given by Himesh Reshammiya, and the lyrics were written by Reshammiya, Sameer Anjaan, Shabbir Ahmed and Subrat Sinha, as per Wikipedia. The movie had grossed about Rs 16 crore, against its Budget of Rs 5 crore.
