Shanti Educational Initiatives Ltd (SEIL) has declared its Q1FY25 results, showcasing a significant improvement in its financial performance. The company reported a total income of Rs 8.60 crore, marking a 13.30% increase compared to Rs 7.59 crore in Q1FY24. On a quarter-on-quarter basis, SEIL experienced an over 200% rise in total income from Rs 2.86 crore in Q4FY24. The net profit for Q1FY25 stood at Rs 2.76 crore, reflecting an 18.50% increase from the corresponding period in the previous fiscal year.
The 52-week high for Shanti Educational Initiatives shares on the BSE is Rs 104.95 per share, while the 52-week low is Rs 52.01 per share. Over the last six months, the shares have offered a return of 40.67%, and in the past year, they have gained 43.3%. Remarkably, the shares have provided a return of 800% over the last five years.

Shanti Educational shares were introduced to the Indian primary market in June 2016. The IPO, which opened on June 1 and closed on June 6, 2016, was priced at Rs 90 per equity share. Investors could apply in lots, with each lot consisting of 1,600 shares. The stock was listed on the BSE SME exchange on June 14, 2016, with a par listing price of Rs 90 per share, ending the day at Rs 92.
The SME stock has seen substantial growth over the past eight years. In 2022, the company announced a 1:10 stock split. As a result, an initial allottee who remained invested would now hold shares worth Rs 16,000 (1,600 shares multiplied by 10). The stock traded ex-split in a 1:10 ratio on July 21, 2022.
In February 2024, the Board of Directors of SEIL approved the sale of its entire stake in its subsidiary, Shanti Learning Foundation, to unrelated parties. This subsidiary had no revenue or income in the last financial year and possessed negligible net worth. While agreements for the sale were expected to be signed on the same date, the actual completion of the sale was anticipated by February 27, 2024, or on a mutually agreed-upon date. The sale consideration was Rs 1,00,000.
