The price of silver witnessed a sharp jump of Rs 4700 per kg since October 1, 2022 as festival season has picked momentum in India. The price of the white metal was recorded at Rs 56,900 on October 1, 2022 and today the price has climbed to Rs 61,600 per kg in India. The biggest single day jump in the prices of silver was registered on October 4, 2022 when the rates witnessed a surge of Rs 4400 per kg.

Since October 1, prices of silver rose on most of the days barring October 6, 2022 when the prices declined by Rs 500 per kg to settle at Rs 61,500 per kg.
According to domestic experts, slight upward movement in the prices of silver and gold is expected.
The price of silver was recorded at Rs 51,600 per kg on September 1, 2022 and it surged to Rs 57,000 per kg on September 30, 2022. The highest rate of silver was registered on September 10, 2022 when it climbed to Rs 60,400 per kg. The lowest price of silver was registered on September 1, 2022 at Rs 51,600 per kg.
Factors determining prices of silver in India:
Silver price in India is determined by international prices, which move in either direction. The white metal price also depends on currency movement of the rupee against the dollar. If the rupee falls against the dollar and international prices remain stable, silver will become more expensive.
There are a number of factors that impact silver prices in India today. Among these include the international prices of the precious metal. In India silver prices largely takes cues from what is happening in the international markets. It is worth noting that gold and silver prices move almost in tune with each other. In other words, when gold prices go higher, silver prices too rally.
On the other hand, when silver prices go higher, gold prices to act in tune. All in all, there are many other factors that tend to influence the per gram silver rate in India. These include interest rate movement and inflationary trends in the country.
